The latest in a complete series of Ghost Box re-issues, Hey Let Loose Your Love was the second album by The Focus Group, first released in 2005 and now re-issued on 10inch vinyl.

The album’s 19 short tracks form a wild, dreamlike, psychedelic sample collage that occasionally coalesces into memorable melodic passages before unravelling and switching focus. It’s a beautifully, unhinged stream of consciousness that seems to prod at buried memories.

As The Focus Group House’s music reflects his collaged design work, it’s woven together from fragments of electronics, heavily processed samples and exotic instrumentation. It’s an uncanny and atmospheric sound that invokes memories of British psychedelia, Italian horror movies and Eastern European animation.
